Before I start talking about this movie, I actually just finished watching it. It's 1:20 in the morning right now. This movie has been on my list for a long time ago but I couldn't find one with the subtitle or maybe there is but with low quality of images so yeah basically it's "illegal movie" which is online movie. Because I don't really like to download stuffs to my laptop. I realized that most of my friends do that which I never tried to do it before. Hehe and I will never I guess. I feel unsafe if I do that, I feel like it will harm my laptop lol.
I would say that I'm kinda like to watch a movie based on a true story but it depends. Depends on the plot because if it's too slow, I won't watch it. I bet my mom won't watch this movie. So after watching this, I still couldn't figure out why the happyness word was spelled like that. Maybe I can't distinguish between noun and adjective. Or maybe verb. I don't know. Sorry if I put it wrong. It's actually I don't understand why the spelling is like that but from my view I do understand the story. Maybe there's hidden meaning that didn't reach me.
It's around 1981, Will Smith as Chris, the wife Linda and their son Christopher. They stay together, have a tough life, economic crisis something like that. The parents work. So Chris is a salesman who signed a contract with a company sells X-ray machine. It's expenssive and it's hard to find people to buy it. They couldn't pay the house rent, and they lost their car because Chris couldn't pay the parking ticket bill.
Things got harder, Linda decided to leave the house with the son. She got a job from her sister in New York so she left. She wanted Christopher to be with her but Chris said Christopher should stay with him. During that time, Chris was finding a way to get a better job but at the same time still trying to sell all the machines he had with him. He tried to get a job as a stockbrocker. Interview, 6 months training and exam. Lot of things happened. Met different kind of people. They got to move from the house. They became homeless.
He sat for the exam and he passed. You know that's a good ending for a true story. But after the wife left in the movie, she didn't show up again and I was wondering, was she really left the husband and the kid?
I'd like to recommend you to watch this movie if you haven't watched it yet. If you like to watch something real. I learned a lot from this movie, it reminds me of my dad. I almost cried while watching this movie. Will Smith, you did very well in this movie.
